Hi JD!
You are entirely correct!
I should have probably posted the info that the guys doing this survey made a blunder when setting the traces/m setting. In frustration of not getting a good image of a BIG and SHALLOW pipe they increased the number of traces/m to 100 to "get-better-data " . Since their survey wheel only produces 48 ticks + the GPR unit they were using, the distance got encoded longer but as you can guess the number of traces stayed the same. The pipe is 55cm wide so if we double the read out (25*2=50) we get a very good approximation.
